She shoved the body into the closet, then got up and crept to the door. She glanced out, then instantly ducked back into the room and dove under the bed, wincing as she jarred her still-bruised ribs. Ignoring the pain, she curled up as tightly as possible, hoping the Director hadn't seen her. She listened hard. Nothing, then footsteps, and a deceptively kind voice that had goosebumps creeping down her arms.
